Can I use html tags anywhere in my posts?

No. You can only use BBS codes as below:
use text to print bold text.
use text to print italic text.
use text to print underlined text.
http://www.example.com/ will create a link.
text will create a link like this.

Why are there colons in the message section when I try to post a followup?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. Please delete any quoted text you are not responding to directly - remember people can still read the original post.

Why didn't my post show up?

Your post most likely did not show up because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear. If you are still having trouble, your ISP's proxy server may have cached the page.

Why is my post "screened"?

This message board employs a filtering method to screen spam and other nasty material. If your post is legitamite, the board administrator will unscreen it so that everyone can see it. If your post if not legitamite it will probably just get deleted.

Where did this script for this program come from?

This script was written in Perl by Alden Bates
It's based loosely on a highly modified version of a MIVA program developed for Simplenet, which was eaten by Yahoo
And that program was based loosely on WWWBoard, a Perl program written by Matthew Wright.
