Gina Bellman is currently appearing in the TNT series Leverage (which is excellent and highly recommended) as one of a team of grifters going straight and helping the little people get their own back after being wronged by big corporations. In a recent episode (I think it might be episode 3) she plays a reporter/media director for the episode's bad guy, and has a excellent Kiwi-ish accent, which I'm guessing is from growing up here. At the time I wasn't aware she was a kiwi (I thought she was a pom after Coupling/Jeykll) and was really impressed with her accent adoption. From memory they don't state where in the world she was supposed to be from in the episode, but it sounded like a reasonable kiwi accent to me!

However if Leverage is picked up for a second season (they're halfway through season 1 now), I'm guessing she wouldn't be available for companion duties.

Right, back to lurking. ;)
