Partly due to a large quantity of contributions and partly due to the fact that the editor was about to take an overseas trip, two of 1998's three issues were published simultaneously. The Leisure Hive video release was a focus of this issue, but the major highlight was an article by UK Doctor Who researcher Andrew Pixley. Entitled A Question of Answers, the feature grew out of a phone conversation with Paul Scoones about Doctor Who trivia questions for which there is no readily-available answer (such as, for instance, who was originally cast as Sarah Jane Smith?). The death of Sydney Newman prompted a lengthy tribute to the show's creator.
