A newly-established liaison with the New Zealand distributors of the BBC Doctor Who video titles, was the inspiration behind the focus on The Android Invasion and Carnival of Monsters, marking the beginning of TSV's focus on the latest video releases each issue. The results of the 1995 TSV Survey were published, and some of the most requested subjects were assigned articles in this very issue. Jon Preddle's indepth investigation into The Dark Dimension proved popular with readers as did his rumours and hoaxes piece entitled The Doctor's Wife. Alistair Hughes provided the front cover illustration, marking the beginning of a long tenure as cover artist.
