The Pit

by Neil Penswick

Book review by David Lawrence

[The Pit]

In the light of the efforts of Paul Cornell, Marc Platt and Gareth Roberts, The Pit is very average. William Blake's appearance is completely pointless and reading his poetry very thoroughly will still only provide you with what might be vague links to his adventure with the Doctor. The link to State of Decay is interesting and very well handled, and the 'truth' behind Rassilon's experiments and their consequences is intriguing and would probably have been fascinating in a better book. Like Transit, The Pit improves on being given a second chance.
